I took a chance. I submitted my first novel, Deviant Agendas in a competition along with thousands of talented writers. I'm excited and honored to announce that Deviant Agendas was named runner up by the 2016 Shelf Unbound Best Indie Book Competition!
As a first time novelist, it's hard to send the book you've spent years writing out into the world. By the time you're through writing your story, the characters have taken on a life of their own. You want people to like them, or least feel the same way you feel about them. This is particularly important to me as Deviant Agendas is the first book in the series The V-Files.
At the end of the day, it's important to take a chance, no matter what you do or want to do. Had I not, I would have never received this award.
